Virtual College

HSCB has commissioned an external provider of e-learning (Virtual College), which can be accessed at no cost by all employees and volunteers working within:

  • Hampshire County Council (All Departments)
  • Maintained, Academy and Independent Primary, Secondary and Special Schools
  • Post 16 Colleges
  • Hampshire’s Clinical Commissioning Groups & Commissioned Providers
  • Hampshire Constabulary
  • Hampshire Fire & Rescue
  • National Probation Service
  • NHS England (Wessex)
  • Hampshire & Isle of Wight CRC
  • District / Borough / City Councils
  • Winchester Diocese
  • CAFCASS
  • Voluntary sector organisations

Once you have started your on-line learning course, you must complete it within 4 weeks; if you fail to do so your line manager may be charged a £25 non-completion fee.

 

NSPCC Learning

The NSPCC has launched NSPCC Learning, a website with the latest child protection and safeguarding news, information and training. The website brings together information and resources for professionals working in safeguarding and child protection in one central point including: the latest research, child protection statistics, leaflets, practical guidance, briefings and evaluations; and information on key topics including resources to keep children safe in schools and colleges.

Research in Practice Podcasts

Research In Practice have published a series of free Podcasts aimed at anyone working within social care, or people who have an interest in prevalent issues for the sector. The resource offers individuals a flexible and accessible way of learning. Each episode will explore a different topic related to the key themes outlined in their Delivery Programme.
