4LSCB County Lines Conference

On 6th December 2017, the 4LSCBs covering Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton & Isle of Wight held a conference entitled: Criminal Exploitation of Children & Vulnerable Young People across ‘County Lines’: A Partnership Approach

The purpose of the conference was to raise awareness of the criminal exploitation of children and young people across ‘County Lines’ and set out the national risk for ‘County Lines’ exploitation. It was attended by 300 front-line professionals from a range of organisations including social care, health, criminal justice, education, voluntary sector and other partner agencies.

Speakers included representatives from Children’s Services within each Local Authority; Hampshire Constabulary; the Home Office; The International Centre: Researching Child Sexual Exploitation, Violence and Trafficking; Crying Sons LTD; Safer London, St Giles Trust and Barnardo’s.

The conference was delivered at no cost to delegates and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
